Truth and Lies

ok we shall be starting here now since we pretty much finished the mission

Mika sat beside the window of her small apartment, just gazing out the window. It was so peaceful... but for how long...?

Kiko

Kiko had recovered, and they were now back in the village.
They had finished the mission, bringing back the person commiting the murders. It appeared that it was boy, a little older than herself. She had seen him, and he didn't look like he could've committed those things. He had looked so very tired...
"Ahh, I don't understand!" Kiko exclaimed standing up.

Haruka:

Haruka woke up and found himself in a strait jacket.
"Where... am I?" he whispered.

Akane and Hiro:

"Agh! you make me mad!" she exclaimed hitting Hiro on the head quite hard.

Genma stretched his arms above him, tilting his head back so he could look out the window behind him.
It was a good day, sunny, not too hot or cold and there was a nice breeze.
And here he was, stamping reports.

With a sigh, he looked in front of him again, the long row of ninja waiting to hand in their reports as long as ever.
It was even worse than usual though, as everyone wanted to go outside and enjoy the weather. They tended to get a little snappy when he pointed out a mistake and had them rewrite it.
As if he cared though.

After all, when their papers were approved and stamped, they'd be able to go outside.
And him?
He'd be stuck here till lunch. And that would only last half an hour!
Genma sure had it tough.
"Next." He drawled, already sticking his hand out to receive the report.

Occ: Shut up Hoebag. >.<
And Lol, Shiranui!

Mika:

Suddenly, Mika heard a knock on her door.

"Wonder who that could be?" Mika mumbled, walking over to the door and opening it. To her surprise it was Sasuke.

"Hey." Sasuke said, his hands in his pockets.

"Hi. What's the matter Sasuke?" Mika asked.

"Uh, nothing really. But uh... could we talk?" Sasuke asked.

"Sure." Mika replied. "About what, if I may ask?"

"You'll see." Sasuke said, as he and Mika started to walk somewhere.

Hiro and Akane:

"Ouch." Hiro said, rubbing the spot where he had just been hit. "You're so mean."

Kiko:

Kiko jumped out her window and onto the street below. She ran for a while until she saw Mika and Sasuke together.
"MIKA!!" Kiko yelled running towards them.
"What'cha two doin together," Kiko said with a smug look on her face, "out on a date?"

Akane and Hiro:

"You think that's mean, wait till you see me pissed," she said looking off with an evil look on her face.

Mika and Sasuke:

"No." Sasuke said, starting to get annoyed at Kiko's remark while a sweat drop appeared on her forehead. "Anyways, what do you want?"

Hiro and Akane:

"Don't think I'll be able to." Hiro said, shrugging it off. "I have to be going soon anyways."

Genma waved off another disgruntled shinobi with a smirk that said just how much he was enjoying this.
As if seeming to get the message, everyone had moved from his line to others, the ninja receiving reports at the end of them a little more tolerant to the smaller mistakes.
“Ah, will ya look at that, my line’s empty. I guess this means an early lunch.” Genma even had the decency to use a tone of feigned innocent at the surprise of having no one to tend to.
“I’ll save you guys a spot in the lunchroom, ne?” He grinned his devil’s smile, before giving them a two finger salute and disappearing from the room in a cloud of smoke.

Truth be, he wasn’t even that hungry yet, so the Special Jounin took to the streets, hoping to find a familiar face to bug.
He’d only turned one corner when his ears picked up the words ‘On a date?’ and a more than annoyed reply.
Ah, so he’d found his victim, because only one kid could sound that annoyed about being seen as if on a date.
“Hey, Uchiha brat.” The senbon chewing man grinned, slapping the dark haired youth on the back, rather hard “Don’t tell me you’re dating both of these fine young ladies now? You player!”

Mika and Sasuke:

"Gah!" Sasuke gasped, surprised by Genma's sudden appearnace, gesture. "Just shut up!"

"H-Hello Genma-sensei." Mika said, a sweat drop appearing on her forehead.

Kiko:

"Psh, as if I'd date that boring emo," Kiko said sticking her tongue out.

Akane and Hiro:

"Hmm," Akane replied.

Genma didn't bother hiding his amusement at their reactions, planning to further irritate the Uchiha by wrapping an arm around his shoulder in a much too friendly manner, ruffling Mika's hair "Hey now. You should be more like Mika, respecting your elders."

At Kiko's words, he couldn't help but laugh before giving her a small wink "You like the exciting guys huh? I know a few if you're interested."
It didn't bother him that the girl was probably old enough to be the child of the guys he had in mind.
Oh no, the idea of setting a well renowned shinobi on a blind date with the kid was too much fun to pass up.
Then again, while he knew his friends would handle such a joke, he didn't want to put Kiko through that.
He wasn't that mean. Most the time.

Mika and Sasuke:

"Get off of me." Sasuke said, irritation in his voice as he pulled away from Genma. "And leave us alone. We have things to do, come on Mika."

"O-Okay." Mika studdered, following Sasuke as he stomped off. "See you later Genma-sensei, Kiko." she added, before running to catch up to Sasuke.

Hiro and Akane:

"Well, see ya later." Hiro said, disappearing.

Kiko:

"Ah they left," Kiko said watching them walk off. "And I bet they're old," she said looking up at Genma with a smile.
"Am I right Genma-sensei?" she asked still smiling.

Akane:

"Oh boo. Now I'm bored again," she said sitting on the ground, the breeze flowing through her hair.

Haruka:

He had gotten rid of the strait jacket and was now pacing the room. It seemed they had placed seals on the door, and window. Then there was a gurgling sound. It was his stomach.
"I'm hungry," he sighed sitting against the wall.

Genma laughed as the boy ducked out from under his arm, practically running off. The shinobi waited a few seconds till they were a few good feet away before yelling out after them "Right! 'Do stuff'. I gotcha! Just do it safe, 'kay?!"
Ah, it was so easy, messing with Sasuke and his friends. Kids these days took things way too seriously.

Twirling his senbon at Kiko, he gave her a good look over, wondering if the question came because she was planing on taking up his offer, or was just curious.
"Well, some of them are old.. ish." The ish came as an afterthought, as he realized that the oldest guy he could think of was only but few years older then him.
"And some of them just look old." A grin now, as he referred to Kakashi, always loving it when someone mistook the Jounin for an old man "But, if you want, I can find a younger guy. I know enough people."

His offer was accompanied by a reassuring thumbs up.
Genma took pride in his matchmaking skills, never having gotten one complaint about it to date.
He didn't bother thinking that that was probably due to no one wanting to complain, knowing very well he'd be a right bastard and lecture them on how he'd wasted hours finding their date when he could have had one himself.

Mika and Sasuke:

"Did we have to be in such a hurry...?" Mika asked, as she finally caught up to Sasuke.

"Yeah... I need to talk to you about something important." Sasuke said, his face and voice turning serious.

"Important...?" Mika repeated, confused.

Kiko:

"Oh, Genma I don't think Sasuke would go that far," Kiko said laughing.
"and I'll think about your offer sensei," Kiko added smiling. She then sighed. Now that Mika and Sasuke were gone she was bored.
"So what are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be doing some work or something," Kiko said facing Genma.

Genma gave her a nod "You better. I don't offer my top of the line services to just anyone, ya know." Only to those that listened. Which were many, if you counted the drunkards.

His face scrunched up in disgust at the mention of work, a hand batting away the notion "Someone's covering for me. As if I could spend such a fine day inside, stamping reports."
He realized that he should have mentioned that he had to read each and every one of them, but he didn't want to lie to the girl. He only did that to enemies and when he thought he was getting lucky with his date.
Oh, and to his superiors when they caught him skipping work.

"What about you? Shouldn't you be harassing your sensei, training or learning some new technique to trip your team mates up with?" He returned her question with a grin, jabbing a thumb in a random direction, as if to suggest that they head there. Standing in one place, especially such an open area, was never good when skipping work.

Mika and Sasuke:

"Yeah..." Sasuke said, walking towards the Uchiha shrine.

"What is it...?" Mika asked, deep sadness in her voice as they entered the shrine.

"It seems like... I could feel Keiji's and Itachi's presences' here..." Sasuke replied.

"But- Keiji-niisama is.... is dead..." Mika said, starting to tear up.

"Yeah whatever, and that sounds fun doing that ALL day," Kiko replied putting her hands up on her head. "And not really," she added walking in the direction he pointed in.
Truth was she didn't feel like training. He was just too monotonous and boring. They weren't getting anyware anways...
"I'm hungry," she suddenly said stopping. "Want to join?" she asked laughing.

Mika and Sasuke:

"I know... I'm sorry for upsetting you..." Sasuke said, hugging Mika. "I... I didn't mean to..."

"No... it's alright. Really Sasuke." Mika said, trying to make herself and Sasuke feel better.

Hanako and Hitoshi:

"...Soooooo boring..." Hanako said, sighing. Hitoshi just sat there next to his sister quietly. He wasn't someone to speak much.

Kyoshi:

"What to do, what to do?" Kyoshi mumbled, standing on top of a building.

"Ya know, back when I was a Genin, we did nothing but screw eachother over. It made good practice, so our sensei never interfered." A few seconds of silence followed before he added "The bastard."
Genma had fallen victim to many pranks back in the day, some more humiliating than he'd like to admit, but he'd never hold it against his old team mates. Mostly because he payed them back tenfold.

As Kiko stopped, asking if he wanted lunch, he couldn't help but laugh. He'd fled his work with the excuse of getting lunch.
"Sure. My treat seeing as you're now officially my accomplice in skipping out on duties." He gave her a playful wink before scouting the area for a decent place to eat.
"Ichiraku's or the cafe?" He pointed a hand in one direction, the other pointing in the opposite. At this point he wondered why there wasn't some food joint somewhere in between.

Kiko:

"Hmm..." Kiko replied. "That sounds fun," she added smirking. "And great! Let's go to Ichiraku's since your paying," Kiko said laughing running towards Ichiraku's.

Haruka:

Haruka walked out of the room. He then walked down the hall barefooted. Then a nurse noticed him.
"Hey you shouldn't be walking around," she said worriedly. Apparently she didn't know he was dangerous.
"Oh I just wanted to get some fresh air," he said smiling weakly.
"I-I don't think so, you might catch a cold," she replied walking towards him.
"...Please just go away," he whispered darkly.
"What?" she said.
Haruka then disappeared and hit her on the back of the neck. He walked towards the door.
"I shouldn't be here," he said to himself.

"How kind of you to think of my near empty wallet." Genma grinned, shoving his hands in his pockets as he started walking.
He watched her run with an amused smile. It was good that kids, ninja or civilian, could enjoy their youth like this.
It was so different from when he was a boy, what with the constant threats of attacks, from other villages or the Kyuubi.
Life was peaceful now. He liked that.

Pushing the flaps to the side as he entered Ichiraku's, he gave the old man a nod in greeting, before sitting next to Kiko.
"So what do you want?" He asked the girl, before ordering a bowl of pumpkin ramen. Normally pumpkin was seen as a winter meal, but Genma liked the vegetable and would be damned if he couldn't eat it when he pleased because it wasn't of the norm.

"Heh heh," Kiko laughed. She ran into Ichiraku's and jumped into one of the seats waiting for Genma. He then asked her what she wanted.
"Meat and lots of it," she replied with her thumbs up at Genma for no particular reason.
